Brava Belt
A discrete belt for extra security. The Brava® Belt is made of soft and comfortable material and is discrete to wear. It ensures the position of the baseplate for extra security.
Brava Powder
Brava Powder absorbs moisture, keeping the skin dry and helping to stop skin irritation. By reducing excess skin moisture, it helps prevent inconvenience and discomfort and supports the dry surface necessary for baseplate adhesives to work properly.
Brava Adhesive Remover Spray
The sting-free Brava Adhesive Remover enables you to remove your barrier and leftover residue easily. It doesn’t contain alcohol, so it doesn’t sting or hurt the skin. It dries within seconds and does not affect further adhesion, leaving you ready to apply a new barrier.
Brava Adhesive Remover Wipe
Brava Adhesive Remover lessens the chance of trauma on the skin by allowing easy removal of the baseplate and any leftover residue – without compromising the adhesion of the next product.
Brava Baby Adhesive Remover
Brava® Baby Adhesive Remover should be used when changing the SenSura® Mio Baby Barrier. Brava Baby Adhesive Remover is oil-based, alcohol-free and sting-free, making it gentle on babies' skin. It also facilitates gentle removal of the barrier.
Brava Skin Barrier Spray
Brava Skin Barrier leaves a thin breathable film on the skin that protects against potential damage but does not affect the adhesion of the next baseplate.
Brava Mouldable Ring
The Brava Mouldable Ring creates a durable seal between the stoma and the baseplate. It is easy to use and can be moulded to fit your body shape.
Brava Paste
The alcohol free Brava® Paste fills folds and creases to maintain a tight fit between the stoma and the appliance to reduce leakage. Sting free protection against leakage.
Brava Elastic tape
The Brava Elastic Tape secures the position of the baseplate and is elastic so it follows your body shape and movements.
Questions about living with a stoma?
Here you’ll find information about everyday life and comfort as an ostomy user.
What is an ostomy?
An ostomy is a surgically created opening in the abdomen that allows stool or urine to exit the body when the digestive or urinary system can’t function normally. Output is collected in an ostomy pouch, and the three main types—colostomy, ileostomy, and urostomy—are defined by where the diversion is made.
How do I correctly use my ostomy product?
Clean and dry the skin around the stoma before applying your ostomy product. Make sure your ostomy bag/baseplate fits closely around the stoma to help prevent leakage and skin irritation. If you are unsure about the steps, a stoma care nurse can guide you.
How do I know which ostomy product is right for me?
The most suitable product depends on your stoma type, skin condition, body shape, and daily activities. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, so it is best to review your needs together with a healthcare professional.
What should I do if I experience skin irritation or redness around the stoma?
Skin irritation can be caused by leakage or moisture. Make sure the skin is clean and dry and that the bag/baseplate opening is the correct size. If irritation persists, consult a healthcare professional for advice.
How often should I change my ostomy appliance?
The frequency depends on the type of ostomy and the product used. In general, the ostomy bag/baseplate are changed every 1–3 days. Your nurse can help you find a routine that works best for you.
Can I continue my normal daily activities with an ostomy?
Yes. Most people with an ostomy can return to normal activities such as work, exercise, travel, and showering. Using the right product and changing it regularly can help you feel secure and confident in your daily life.
